We hope everyone has a happy and healthy 2009! 2008 was a little traumatic for our family and several others we know, so it's got to be better, no? New resolution.....Think Positively! That's not MY resolution necessarily, it's a good one!
Happy new year to you, too, Bob! I heard you had some great black-eyed peas and cornbread. I am going to have to start that tradition. That is awesome. I miss you, Bob, and it was great spending time with you during Christmas. Oh, I tagged you. Go to my blog and check it out. Love you!
Good resolution, Bob, for other people, I mean. Sorry to hear it was hard - next year has GOT to be better, don't you think? So I got tagged by Jen, too, and don't know why - I literally have no beauty secrets. Excited to read yours, though!
Welcome to Patti's and Bobbi's Excellent Adventures!
We hope you enjoy our blog, but I'm sure you'll soon discover that our adventures really aren't all that excellent. It's just two middle-aged sisters trying to keep the flame alive! Patti and Bobbi don't blog everyday, because that would mislead people into thinking we actually have lives. We have to dig way down deep just to come up with the few things we feel are blog worthy. We appreciate your comments, mostly because we know someone out there is reading what we write. We are trying to treat this somewhat like a journal, even though that means our posterity are going to have to endure it also! It gets a little tricky!
Come back anytime and we'll try to have something entertaining, helpful, or just slightly interesting for you to read and hopefully you won't feel as if you've wasted your time by being here! Mostly we just want you to have a laugh or at least a smile to get you thru your day! Feel free to make comments and give us some great ideas!
Do you believe in organ donation? I do! I found this "remembrance" and thought it was so nice.
TO REMEMBER ME...
Give my sight to a man who has never seen a sunrise, a baby's face or love in the eyes of a woman.
Give my heart to a person whose own heart has caused nothing but endless days of pain.
Give my kidneys to one who depends on a machine to exist from week to week.
If you must bury something, let it be my faults, my weaknesses, and all my prejudice against my fellow man.
Give my sins to the devil. Give my soul to God. If, by chance, you wish to remember me, do it with a kind deed or word to someone who needs you.
Patti and Bobbi are sisters. We like to call ourselves "the Rogers Girls" even though we are both married and no longer use our maiden name. Patti is married to Ed and they have four girls ~ Jennifer, Robyn, Kristen and Kimberly, and one boy, Erik. They also have a beast of a Rottweiler named Gunner. Bobbi is married to Rocky and they have three boys ~ Trevor, Troy and Benjamin, and two dopey Great Danes, Xander and Bo.
Happy New Year, friend! Hope you had a fun holiday season.
